Larkin High School was temporarily placed on lockdown Wednesday morning after a student reported a threat to an administrator.
The School District U46 administration, along with local law enforcement, shortly after determined that the threat was unfounded.
Normal class schedules resumed after the school called for a hold in place, a procedure in which administration said is typically used when there’s no immediate life-threatening situation.
Students and staff were held in place until plans were made to resume classes and the building is now operating normally.
